STEM Ambassadors

STFC schools liaison officer - The officer is available to help individual teachers or groups of teachers by:

  • arranging talks and INSET training
  • providing information on STFC science
  • giving advice on visiting our sites
  • linking schools with their local university research groups
  • finding resource materials

STFC Particle and Nuclear Physics Outreach Officer - The officer can help teachers by:

  • helping to arrange physicists to visit your school
  • advice on visiting CERN

providing advice on Particle and Nuclear Physics teaching resources

STEM Ambassadors are people from a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics backgrounds who volunteer as inspiring role models for young people. They can contribute both to regular lessons or participate in extra-curricular activities such as STEM Clubs, Careers Days and visits. STEM Ambassadors open the door to a whole new world for young people, helping them to see STEM subjects and careers with a fresh perspective and engage their interest and imagination in new ways.

 
Every ambassador is registered, trained and CRB checked.
 
STFC  Ambassadors endeavour to make a real difference to the delivery of STEM subjects to young people.  Through The STFC access days and education visits you can interact with our ambassadors.
