STFC's 'Incredible Power of Light' roadshow

STFC’s Incredible Power of Light aka Lasers roadshow supports the UK laser science community in partnership with the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) showcasing the unparalleled range of state-of-the-art laser technology provided by the Central Laser Facility (CLF) and UK scientists to carry out a broad range of pioneering experiments in physics, chemistry and biology transforming its advanced research and development into real world applications.

The exhibition features interactive exhibits including a walk-through of the laser area of the Vulcan laser, informative artwork, digital media and a ‘live’ laser show highlighting the work of one of the world’s leading laser facilities.

To date the travelling exhibition has completed 16 events at 15 venues, travelling over 6,200 miles around the UK and, over the course of 169 days, captured the attention of nearly 77,000 people across the UK and Northern Ireland, including the Scottish Parliament, National Assembly for Wales, Cardiff, Science Museums in London and Ulster and the Big Bang Fair at Birmingham's NEC.
