The Research Grants Handbook describes STFC's research grant funding arrangements and terms and conditions that apply to all STFC grants.

The handbook is intended to give clear guidance and information to all applicants and those responsible for the administration of grants. It sets out the application procedures and eligibility requirements, outlines the funding available to grant-holders, and details the responsibilities of STFC and grant-holders.

The handbook is kept under constant review and may be revised at any time to reflect changes to policy, funding arrangements, or terms and conditions.

Applicants are also advised to consult the Je-S Help and the appropriate information on the relevant grant scheme before submitting their application.

The terms and conditions set out in this document incorporate the understandings reached between the signatories to the Concordat on Contract Research Staff Career Management.
