STFC will be running the Bridging for Innovators (B4I) funding programme in order to continue supporting UK’s manufacturing industry. The aim of the programme is to help companies solve difficult product, manufacturing or process performance problems by leveraging more than £2b worth of government investment in scientific infrastructure.

Following on from the exceptional success of Analysis for Innovators, a programme run by Innovate UK in collaboration with STFC and a number of other partners, the Bridging for Innovators programme is intended to support companies overcome intractable product or process performance problems in manufacturing that have a high impact on productivity. It will provide access to advanced analytical technologies and supporting expertise to companies through STFC’s science facilities located at the various campuses such as at Harwell and Daresbury.
