STFC Director of Science Strategy, John Womersley

John Womersley, the Director, Science Strategy for the Science and Technology Facilities Council visited e-science at Daresbury today. He met with Dr Robert Allan and Shoaib Sufi to discuss the work of the Frameworks Group.

John Womersley took the post of Director, Science Strategy in the new Council at its creation on 1st April, moving from his post as the CCLRC's Director Particle Physics. He had previously spent 20 years in the USA, most recently at FermiLab in the post of Scientific Advisor to the Associate Director, Office of High Energy Physics, U.S. Department of Energy.
