Juan Bicarregui has been acting Director of e-Science since April 2012.
Juan holds BSc and MSc degrees in Mathematics, and a PhD in Computer Science. He joined the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in 1986 and researched the use of formal methods in computing before becoming Head of e-information at CCLRC in 2001, and then in 2006 Head e-Science Scientific Applications for STFC.
