Consultation on STFC's Programmatic Review 2007-8
STFC to publish Programmatic Review advisory panel reports
The Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC) has now received advice from the Particle Physics, Astronomy & Nuclear Physics Science Committee (PPAN), and the Physical & Life Sciences Committee (PALS), as well as the reports from the nine independent specialist panels which have informed PPAN and PALS recommendations. The recommendations of PPAN and PALS have been considered and endorsed by the Science Board. The reports of PPAN and PALS together with the specialist panel reports are today being compiled and will be distributed to the members of STFC Council.
STFC Council will meet on 1 July and use these reports to help them reach their final conclusions over the contents of the Programmatic Review. The outcome of the Review will then be announced in full on 8 July.
In the interests of openness and transparency, the STFC has decided to publish the reports from PPAN, PALS and the nine specialist panels. They will be placed on the STFC website by lunchtime tomorrow.
