Inverse Square Law project
The Inverse Square Law (ISL) experiment at Birmingham University aims at testing the inverse square law of gravitation at distances down to 10 μm. This experimental programme would cast light on two of the most important and deep-rooted problems facing fundamental physics at the present time, namely the gauge-hierarchy problem and the cosmological constant problem. Results of the study could provide crucial complementary data to those expected from the Large Hadron Collider.
