Public Engagement Fellowships 2012
STFC announces the closing date for its 2012 Public Engagement Fellowship scheme. The Fellowships Scheme supports individual's public engagement with STC science and technology.
Closing date for applications is 4.00pm on 1 March 2012.

Professor Mark Hodson, Dr Andrew Newsam and Dr Helen Mason have been awarded Public Engagement Fellowships to champion STFC Science and Technology to a wider audience.
 
Naked Scientists Podcasts (link opens in a new window)
The Naked Scientists are a media-savvy group of physicians and researchers from Cambridge University who use radio, live lectures, and the Internet to strip science down to its bare essentials, and promote it to the general public. Podcasts from the Naked Scientists are supported by the STFC.

  • Where did the Sun and Earth and other planets in the solar system come from?
  • What is matter made of?
  • Is there life on Mars, or on planets around other stars in the galaxy?
