SiD and CLIC detector concepts
The RAL group contributes to the Design and R&D for two detector concepts and future linear colliders, the SiD (link opens in a new window) detector concept and the new detector concept for the CLIC machine.
SiD
The SiD detector concept for the ILC is a silicon-tracking compact high field detector optimized for PFA (Particle Flow Algorithms).
The CLIC detector
The CLIC detector is based on SiD, but features a much deeper HCAL to compensate for the higher center-of mass energies.
