The results of the recent Responsive RA review are confirmed as follows:
In all, 31 proposals were received (including a proposal for a Spokesperson's RA) which were spread across the areas of particle physics, of which 5 posts could be awarded.
The successful proposals are listed below (in alphabetical order of PI):

Call for nominations to Science and Technology Facilities Council's Projects Peer Review Panel (PPRP) - Closing date 13 October 2007.
STFC is actively seeking nominations of outstanding individuals to become members of its Projects Peer Review Panel which is responsible for the assessment of projects that the Council consider have significant scientific priority. The Panel also considers requests for funding research and development projects that will provide underpinning technologies for future projects.

The CREATe project received an STFC PUS (Public Understanding of Science) Large Award for constructing cosmic ray detectors for schools in 2006, these detectors will be installed in schools in Durham, Leeds, Liverpool and Sheffield over the next few months. The CREATe team are organising a meeting in Sheffield starting at 11am on Wednesday October 17th which will bring together teachers, particle physicists and particle astrophysicists interested in participating in future extensions to the CREATe project to include other locations and would like to invite interested members of the community to attend the meeting.
