The NPG is developing simulation programs to predict and understand the response of existing and future nuclear physics detection systems.
As the complexity of nuclear physics experimental setups increases, simulations are becoming increasing important in the planning and design of experiments.
Detector acceptance, efficiency and the effect of the mechanical structure (inert materials) will be simulated.
The NPG has expertise in the detector simulation of a wide range of detection systems including light charged particle detectors, gamma-ray arrays and neutron detectors.
Documentation can be found in the edocs , our library of Technical Documentation (link opens in a new window).
