UK@CERN 2008
UK Trade & Investment along with the Science and Technology Facilities Council are pleased to announce the dates for the UK industry mission to CERN, ESRF and ILL:
16-20 November 2008
This event will take a select group of UK companies across to these Research Facilities to see first hand the types of research and industrial opportunities available, focusing on procurement opportunities arising in the next twelve months.
The draft programme
Sunday 16 November
- Travel to Geneva
- evening: Informal welcome dinner
Monday 17 November
- am: CERN purchasing presentations and site tour
- pm: Individual meetings at CERN
- evening: Reception
Tuesday 18 November
- am/pm: Individual meetings at CERN
- evening: Depart for ESRF/ILL
Wednesday 19 November
- am: ESRF/ILL tour round facilities
- pm: Individual/group meetings at ESRF/ILL
- evening: Return to UK
What's on offer?
The cost of participating is £500 per company. Included in this, each company will receive a bespoke one-to-one meeting programme on Monday and Tuesday (at CERN), delivered by the British Consulate General in Geneva through UK Trade & Investment’s Overseas Market Introduction Service Overseas Market Introduction Service (link opens in a new window)(OMIS). Travel and accommodation costs should be met by individuals, however hotel bookings will be made for delegates in Geneva and Grenoble.
With a focus on understanding Research Facility procurement opportunities, UK@CERN and ESRF/ILL 2008 we’d like to invite you to register interest now as places are limited.
