A short film has just been released showcasing STFC’s key role in driving innovation and Economic Impact for the UK.

The film titled ‘Fit for Tomorrow’ features three successful companies which are benefiting from close collaboration with STFC’s world class facilities and expertise, and its impressive track record of research excellence.

The three companies featured are:

• Oxsensis Ltd (link opens in a new window), an STFC spin out specialising in optical instrumentation for harsh environments such as car and aeroplane engines;
• MDA Orbital Optics (link opens in a new window), an STFC spin out which develops low cost space cameras and space robotics for international markets, and
• Oxford Instruments (link opens in a new window) with a world wide business in designing and manufacturing high-tech tools for industry research to tackle issues such as alternative energy, climate change, environmental pollution and healthcare.
