1. Payments to the Student

Maintenance Allowances

• Outside London - £13,590 per annum;
• Within London - £15,590 per annum;
• CASE outside London - £14,590 per annum;
• CASE within London - £16,590 per annum;

CASE and CASE-Plus Awards Addition

• £615 per annum

2. Payments to the Institution

• Tuition fees up to a maximum of £3,732 per annum.
  
  
• Research Training Support Grant (RTSG) - a contribution towards incidental costs of training research students: £1,000 per annum.
  
  
• A contribution of £230 is paid towards the costs of conference fees and UK fieldwork.

3. CASE and CASE-PLUS Awards

Co-operating Body's Contributions

For CASE Awards, minimum mandatory co-operating body contributions of:

• £2,760 per annum to the student;
  and
  
• £1,550 per annum to the academic institution as a contribution towards the costs of the project.

For CASE-plus the co-operating body will pay 50% of the student's salary in the final year; the Science and Technology Facilities Council will contribute the remaining 50%, up to a maximum of £14,250.
