Submitting an STFC proposal

Research Organisations and applicants for STFC research grants must comply with the eligibility requirements set out in the STFC Research Grants Handbook.

The Joint Electronic Submission (link opens in a new window) (Je-S) system

• All proposals for STFC research grants must be made through the Joint Electronic Submission (Je-S) system
  
  
• Most Research Organisations eligible for STFC funding are now registered for Je-S
  
  
• Individual applicants wishing to access the Je-S system for the first time are asked to check with their central administration on the status of their organisation's Je-S registration before pursuing the option of creating an account on the system
  
  
• The Je-S Helpdesk can assist with queries regarding the issue of user IDs and passwords, or navigation of the system. If you need any help, advice, or are having technical difficulties, please contact the Helpdesk. • The Helpdesk is manned Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm (except for Bank Holidays). Voice mail operates outside of these hours

• For help in preparing and submitting a proposal, go to the Je-S login page and select Je-S System help (link opens in a new window)
  
  
• When you are ready to prepare and submit your proposal go to Je-S system log-in (link opens in a new window)

 Closing Dates

• When preparing a proposal for a STFC research grant, please take account of the closing date for the scheme for which you are applying
  
• Proposals must be submitted by 4.00pm on the closing date
  
• Closing dates will be strictly enforced.
