Information for STFC Grant Holders
Post Award administration
The Research Grants Handbook (pre-fEC
handbook (link opens in a new window) for grants announced on or before 31 March 2006, or fEC handbook for grants applied for after September 2005) is
intended to give clear guidance and information to all applicants and those
responsible for the post award administration of grants, including the
responsibilities of grant holders.
- See Section
6 for guidance on post award administration
- See Section
7 for evaluation and final reports
- See Section
8 for Exploitation of results and dissemination of information
- See Section
9 for the core terms and conditions of all research grants
The Je-S status reporting interface allows Research Organisations (RO) to
view details of their portfolio of current grants. Details of a grant are
displayed once an announcement letter has been issued to the RO and will remain
until all actions (for both the RO and Council) are complete. The RO Master ID
can allocate access to the data to other Je-S users at that organisation.
Final reports
STFC attaches great importance to evaluating and monitoring results of the
research it supports and will require a Final Scientific Report on the outcome
of a research grant. Interim reports may also be required on some STFC grants.
The forms are available on the Je-S system with the exception of Facility
Development Project Grants which are available online.
- It is the responsibility of the Principal Investigator to complete the
report within three months of the end date of the award.
- Failure to submit a Final Report within the period allowed may result
in financial penalties to the final total value of the award.
- Principal Investigators are advised to follow the guidance, including STFC
specific guidance, on how to complete the Final or Interim report before
submitting their completed report through the Je-S system.
This facility allows simple drill-down queries and searches against a
database of all current STFC research grants. The database is updated
fortnightly. It is possible to search by institution, department, region,
person, keyword or research area.
This section contains statistics on grants, fellowships and studentships
supported by PPARC/STFC since financial year 2000/2001. It includes some
statistics on how successful institutions
have been in requesting funding from PPARC/STFC and information about the age
and gender of applicants.
