The Group specialises in the solution of large sparse systems of linear equations, and of large-scale linear and nonlinear optimization problems. Members of the Group are involved in many collaborative ventures overseas, including projects with researchers in Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and the USA.
