Update from Science Board

STFC Science Board met on May 22/23 to hear reports from the Particle Physics, Astronomy and Nuclear Physics (PPAN) committee and the Physical and Life Sciences (PALS) committee, and to discuss the recommendations of the recent Programmatic Review Consultation Panels. The consultation panel chairs had presented their reports to PPAN and PALS earlier in the week. Many of the valuable contributions from the community were taken on board and the recommendations of the Science Board are being written up and will be presented to STFC Council.

The Science Board expressed its gratitude to all who had contributed to the constructive consultation process and acknowledged the effective work carried out, in a constrained timescale, by the panels and also by PPAN and PALS.
