Mr Ian Taylor's biography

Mr Taylor is chairman of Living PlanIT SA which has developed a software platform to integrate and operate innovative technologies within environmentally sustainable urban developments. He is also on the board of Speed-Trap Holdings Limited and Weee Systems Limited. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Campaign for Science & Engineering and has joined ESA's Advisory Committee on Integrated Applications Promotion.

Mr Taylor was a Member of Parliament for 23 years until deciding to stand down at the 2010 General Election. He was Minister for Science and Technology at the Department of Trade and Industry during 1994 - 1997. He was an officer of several all Party committees, including chairing the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee 2008-10.
